Negative Note Branch Conditions Now Evaluate Candidate Notes

An issue was resolved where Branch steps in Submission-based and Placement-based Automations that use a negative Note condition, such as "Does Not Have Note", did not correctly validate against the related Candidate record, which could result in candidates who already had a recent Candidate Note to be routed down the wrong branch.

What This Fix Means

Negative Note branch conditions now check notes on the related Candidate record, not just the Submission or Placement. Active and placed candidates with a recent Candidate Note are no longer routed down re-engagement or outreach branches meant for cold contacts. This keeps communications relevant and avoids unnecessary touches to candidates already in process.
